Welcome, welcome. My name is John East, and this is my web site (as if you hadn't guessed that already). I'm a Christian and this site contains information about my family, my involvment with my church and some of my thoughts in my blog.
I was born in March of 1973, in Ellesmere Port which is in the north west of England. I went to Leeds Met Uni where I studied Electronics, Music and Media Technology. After graduating I moved to Reading where I have been ever since. I met my wife, Sue, in 1999 and we were married in April of 2001. Our daughter, Thea, was born in October 2004. They are both beautiful in every way. I'm a software engineer and I work for Pharos Communications, which is a software solutions company for the broadcasting industry. I attend LifeSpring church where I am the worship overseer.
I believe that God created the world and that God created man to live in relationship with Him, but man turned away. To rectify this broken relationship God sent His Son Jesus Christ to suffer the punishment that we deserve and to pay for our sin. Three days after dying on the cross, Jesus rose again and He is now Lord of all. If you don't know Jesus, I would strongly urge you to consider giving your life to Him. It's the best thing you could ever do.
